2 Seriously Injured in Brooklyn Center Crash

Brooklyn Center Police say two people were seriously injured after a crash early Sunday morning.

Police say were dispatched to the report of the crash around 1:30 a.m. Sunday on Freeway Boulevard near Xerxes Avenue North.

Upon arrival, officers located one vehicle with extensive damage and two victims suffering from extensive injuries outside of the vehicle.

Authorities say one victim did not have a pulse initially, but later regained a pulse. Both victims were transported to a nearby hospital.

Police believe alcohol was a factor in the crash and it appears that neither occupant were wearing seatbelts.

The Brooklyn Center Police Department is investigating the crash with help from the Minnesota State Patrol and the Hennepin County Crime Lab.
