Police Arrest 2 After Shooting Outside Richfield HS Homecoming Game
Police have announced the arrests of two juveniles they believe are related to a shooting Friday night just outside the Richfield High School homecoming football game. The sound of the gunfire was captured on a school district livestream of the football game, and showed fans and players inside Spartan Stadium running for cover. The game was called in the 4th quarter and the rest of homecoming weekend events canceled by administrators.
Murder Charges Filed Against 2 Suspects in Shooting Outside Richfield School
Formal charges have been filed against two suspects accused in the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old student earlier this week outside a Richfield school. Alfredo Rosario Solis, 19, and Fernando Valdez-Alvarez, 18, were arrested by police later the same day and are now charged with 2nd-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder in the shooting.
Student Killed, Another Critical After Shooting Outside Richfield School
One student died and another was critically injured after a shooting outside a Richfield school shortly after noon on Tuesday. The suspects fled the scene immediately after and have not yet been apprehended. Richfield police confirm they were dispatched at 12:07 p.m. to South Education Center, 7450 Penn Ave. S., where they found two students who were reportedly shot while on a sidewalk near the front entrance of the school.
Bentley the Cat Home Safe Months After Being Stolen in Richfield Car Theft
Months after the car he was in was stolen, Bentley the cat is finally back home in Richfield. Bentley and his owner Lukas were at a Richfield gas station in late November when the vehicle was taken, with Bentley in his cat tree inside the car. The vehicle was found in Minneapolis unoccupied the next day, but Bentley was missing for months and Lukas said he was losing hope.
