Stillwater Inmates Charged After Escape from Custody

Criminal complaints filed on Friday allege that inmates Timothy Curtis St. Clair Jr., 36, and Kristopher Lee Roybal, 40, walked away from the minimum-security housing area late Tuesday night. Both inmates were wearing GPS ankle monitors which showed them near a restaurant in Oak Park Heights and they were taken into custody nearby.

Suspect Fatally Shot by Stillwater Police After Opening Fire in Apartment

Stillwater police confirm that a man is dead after exchanging gunfire with officers at an apartment building on Saturday afternoon. Police say they were dispatched to an apartment building located at 2225 Orleans Street West just before 2:30 p.m. for multiple reports of gunshots being fired inside. Another report came in to dispatch from someone inside saying they’d been shot.

2 Dead After Head-On Crash in Cottage Grove Sunday

The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a crash that left two people dead on Highway 61 in Cottage Grove Sunday morning. According to Cottage Grove Public Safety, at around 8:15 a.m., multiple 911 callers reported a two-vehicle crash on Highway 61 northbound between 80th St. S. & Jamaica Ave. The callers reported that a vehicle had been traveling the wrong way on the highway before the crash.

2 Dead After Motorcycle Crash in Newport

The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a motorcycle crash that resulted in the deaths of two people in Newport on Friday evening. The crash was reported to authorities just after 6:15 p.m. According to the State Patrol, a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling northbound on Highway 61 and taking the exit to I-494 when it veered off the roadway, rolled and came to rest in the grass median.

Men Sentenced for 'Harmless Fun' After 2 Pipe Bombs Detonated in Washington Co.

Two men who pled guilty to making and detonating homemade explosive devices in November of 2020 in Washington County each received 30-day jail sentences and two years of probation. 30-year-old Nicolas Thole of Woodbury and 41-year-old Seth Slaikeu of Afton were also fined $387.00 each. Thole and Slaikeu were also given a stay of imposition, meaning their felony convictions will be reduced to misdemeanors upon successful completion of their probation.
