5 Arrested, Guns Seized After High-Speed Pursuit Ends in Plymouth
Dispatch audio gives more details into the wild, high-speed pursuit of an armed suspect that ended with a PIT maneuver in Plymouth, Minn., on Monday afternoon. Officers had been tracking the man all morning throughout Minneapolis and St. Paul in relation to a recent shooting in which a rifle was used.

A 19-year-old Delano, Minn., man is charged with criminal vehicular homicide after allegedly speeding through a Plymouth street, striking a pedestrian and a dog and leaving the scene of the crash Wednesday night.

State Troopers near Owatonna spotted a freshly stolen vehicle from the Holiday gas station on I-35, just north of the city late Sunday afternoon, April 25. Troopers initiated a pursuit and the driver fled at a high rate of speed to the north. Troopers continued the pursuit north into the city of Bloomington.
Suspect Arrested After Woman, 19, Found Dead in South Minneapolis
Minneapolis police are investigating the city’s 23rd homicide of 2021 after a 19-year-old woman was found dead inside a residence on the south side of the city Friday afternoon. A suspect, Jose Daniel Cuenca-Zuniga, 23, was arrested in Ohio later the same day, police said, and will be extradited to Minnesota to face charges.

SCANNER: 2 Guardsmen Hurt in Shots Fired Incident in North Minneapolis
Two Minnesota National Guard members were injured when a man fired around 10 gunshots from a vehicle toward Minneapolis police officers and a Guard contingent in the area of Penn Ave. N. & W. Broadway Ave. just before 4:30 a.m. Sunday, April 18. The soldiers were not struck by gunfire: one had minor injuries from shattered glass and was transported to a hospital, while the other soldier had superficial injuries, according to the Minnesota National Guard.
SCANNER: Minneapolis Shooting Critically Injures One
Late Friday, April 16, 2021, Minneapolis squads were dispatched for a ShotSpotter activation in the area of 24th St. E. & Cedar Ave. S. ShotSpotter had detected four rounds fired from the street in front of a residence. Shortly after, a 911 caller reported there was a victim shot in the street. Before squads arrived, the victim was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle.

VIDEO: Hutchinson Officer Dragged, Assaulted During Traffic Stop
An officer attempting to make a traffic stop in Hutchinson, Minn., was dragged by the suspect driver and struck in the head with a hammer during the altercation, police said.
The officer, who has not been identified, was hospitalized with injuries, but was in stable condition as of late Wednesday, April 14. The suspect, 61-year-old Luke Alvin Oeltjenbruns, of Hutchinson, was arrested at the scene after the assault, Hutchinson police said.
