Police have confirmed that one man was killed and another man was injured Saturday morning in a stabbing in the Highland Park neighborhood of Saint Paul. Officers were called around 9:30 a.m. to the 1100 block of Bowdoin St. S. on the report of a stabbing. They found two adult males with stab wounds at the scene.

Investigators say alcohol was a factor in a crash that killed one person and critically injured another Thursday night in Columbia Heights. The State Patrol says 35-year-old Cody John Jazdzewski, of Minneapolis, drover a 1998 BMW off the roadway and onto the sidewalk, striking two pedestrians before the vehicle came to rest near a tree line.

Husband Arrested After Woman Found Dead Along Roadway

The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office says deputies have arrested the husband of a woman who was found dead along a roadway in Fort Ripley Township last month. Authorities say a passerby called police on June 25, reporting they thought there may have been a body lying just off the roadway near the intersection of Legend Lane & Killian Road in Fort Ripley Township. Authorities arrived and confirmed the woman was deceased.

A Burnsville man is charged with murder after admitting to killing his mother, dismembering her and disposing body parts in multiple locations. Troy Michael Mitteness, 56, of Burnsville, is charged with 2nd-degree murder in the death of his mother, Sandra Viola Mitteness. The driver of a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup died after crashing head-on into a FedEx Freightliner semi on Interstate 94 early Saturday morning in Afton, authorities say. The State Patrol says the pickup driver was westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-94 around 3:30 a.m., near the Manning Ave. overpass. The pickup struck the semi head-on and both vehicles erupted in flames.
