Police have confirmed that one man was killed and another man was injured Saturday morning in a stabbing in the Highland Park neighborhood of Saint Paul. Officers were called around 9:30 a.m. to the 1100 block of Bowdoin St. S. on the report of a stabbing. They found two adult males with stab wounds at the scene.

Minneapolis Police say a man died after being shot early Friday morning in south Minneapolis. Officers were called just before 5:30 a.m. to the intersection of Nicollet Ave. and Cecil Newman Lane on a report of a possible overdose. When officers arrived, they found a man in his 30s, unresponsive, and police determined that the man had been shot.

Investigators say alcohol was a factor in a crash that killed one person and critically injured another Thursday night in Columbia Heights. Emergency crews were called around 10:30 p.m. to a report of a crash near Highway 65 and 39th Ave. NE. in Columbia Heights. The State Patrol says 35-year-old Cody John Jazdzewski, of Minneapolis, drover a 1998 BMW off the roadway and onto the sidewalk, striking two pedestrians before the vehicle came to rest near a tree line.

The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office says deputies have arrested the husband of a woman who was found dead along a roadway in Fort Ripley Township last month. Authorities say a passerby called police on June 25, reporting they thought there may have been a body lying just off the roadway near the intersection of Legend Lane & Killian Road in Fort Ripley Township. Authorities arrived and confirmed the woman was deceased.

A Minnesota State Trooper on routine patrol made the bust of a lifetime after finding 20 kilograms of cocaine on a traffic stop last Friday. Criminal charges filed this week say a trooper conducted a traffic stop of a semi-tractor-trailer after they observed the semi cross the fog line on Northbound Highway 169 in Bloomington last Friday.

A Burnsville man is charged with murder after admitting to killing his mother, dismembering her and disposing body parts in multiple locations. Troy Michael Mitteness, 56, of Burnsville, is charged with 2nd-degree murder in the death of his mother, Sandra Viola Mitteness. The charges come after detectives began investigating reports of mail theft in June, which led authorities to a murder confession.

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on the 1300 block of Olson Memorial Highway in Minneapolis. Police responded to the report of a shooting just after midnight when a 911 caller said that her boyfriend had been shot and was unresponsive.

Columbia Heights police say two people were injured in a shooting just after 2:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon on the 4500 block of Central Avenue Northeast. Early indications show that a juvenile male shot into a vehicle occupied by three individuals before fleeing the scene.

Two pilots were able to escape serious injury after separate aircraft incidents Saturday in Anoka County.The first incident happened in Blaine around 2 p.m. when a pilot flying a Cessna 172 aircraft began experiencing low oil pressure.

Minneapolis police say a total of six people were shot in the early morning hours of July 5th, just two and a half hours apart, as Independence Day festivities turned deadly.

Coon Rapids police were called to the home in March after the man told his neighbor that he had unintentionally discharged his handgun, causing the bullet to strike his house. Officers say the man was cooperative and turned over the handgun, as well as the discharged casing.

A suspect in the deaths of five women after a high-speed crash in Minneapolis is now facing federal charges. Derrick John Thompson, 27, has been charged federally with illegal possession of fentanyl and a firearm after a crash that killed five young women Friday night near I-35W & Lake St.

The Lake Superior Violent Offender Task Force says a search warrant executed Wednesday revealed 1,355 fentanyl pills, multiple guns, ammunition and over $18,000 in cash. Officers executed the warrant on the 700 block of North 20th Avenue East in Duluth and took multiple suspects into custody.

The Stearns and Benton County SWAT Team was assisting the St. Joseph Police Department in executing a search warrant for a case involving firearms on the 200 block of Able Street East when officers fired shots. The suspect was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital where his condition is unknown.

The driver of a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup died after crashing head-on into a FedEx Freightliner semi on Interstate 94 early Saturday morning in Afton, authorities say. The State Patrol says the pickup driver was westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-94 around 3:30 a.m., near the Manning Ave. overpass. The pickup struck the semi head-on and both vehicles erupted in flames.
