Investigation is underway after two reported sexual assaults on Lebanon Hills Regional Park trails, Dakota County authorities said this week.

A 27-year-old inmate got an additional 15-year prison sentence this week for his role in abetting the assault of a correctional employee last year.

At the scene, they found a woman lying unconscious near the doorway, bleeding from her mouth and struggling to breathe. She later underwent surgery due to a head injury that caused severe brain swelling.

Curtez Deshawn Graham, 29, was sentenced to an additional 15 years in prison on Tuesday for aiding and abetting first-degree assault of a correctional employee at the Minnesota Correctional Facility in Oak Park Heights.

Police have arrested a man in connection to a violent attack with a hammer in Fridley, Feb. 3, leaving the victim with unspecified injuries. The 911 call came in just before 5 a.m. from a juvenile who said they were hiding in the bathroom with a sibling, and that their father was fighting with someone and yelling “you can’t hit me with a hammer!”

An inmate that was serving time at the Stillwater Correctional Institution was sentenced to 10 years in prison after he sexually assaulted a prison guard in June of 2019. Inmate Mal Pauliet Tharjiath, 28, was convicted of 4th-degree criminal sexual conduct and 4th-degree assault.
