VIDEO: Squad Cam Captures Golf Club Assault

Newly released video shows suspects damaging a vehicle in Saint Paul including one wielding a golf club and another with a knife. Jesse Lee Underleiter and Nicholas Todd Spangler were seen around 3:10 p.m. on June 22nd, near Bennett’s Chop and Railhouse at 1305 Seventh Street West after a criminal damage to property report. The two men were observed damaging a vehicle in the area.

Federal Agents Shoot, Kill Suspect in North Minneapolis

Federal agents shot and killed a suspect while attempting to serve an arrest warrant Thursday morning in a north Minneapolis neighborhood, authorities have confirmed. Around 6 a.m., a SWAT team involving FBI agents attempted to execute a high-risk warrant on the 3700 block of Dupont Ave. N., with the suspect initially refusing to exit the home.

Duluth Man Charged in Copper Cable Theft Spree

A Duluth man faces four felony charges for allegedly cutting copper cables from power poles in Saint Louis County. Aaron Alan Horn, 30, of Duluth had been suspected of numerous copper wire thefts where cables owned by CenturyLink were cut from power lines, causing service issues for customers in the area.

Three Officers Shot, One Fatally, in Cyrus

The Pope County Sheriff’s Office says two deputies and a Starbuck police officer were shot while on a domestic call in Cyrus around 7:30 p.m. Saturday evening. According to family members and additional information, one of the deputies who was shot has died of his injuries. Radio dispatches indicated that the deputy was being transported to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office late Saturday night.

Man Dies in High-Speed Crash on I-35 in Lakeville

The State Patrol says just before 1:30 a.m., a 2022 Lincoln Aviator was traveling southbound on Interstate 35 towards 210th Street West when the driver struck a 2020 Toyota Corolla from behind. The driver of the Aviator didn’t stop at the scene of the crash and sped southbound, where it crashed into a semi-trailer at a high rate of speed.

Man Dies After Dog Attack in Brooklyn Center

Police say they responded to a residence on the 5700 block of Halifax Avenue North where they found four dogs attacking 22-year-old Dezmond Ray Thomas Trawick in the backyard. Police say they deployed a “less-lethal” round which struck at least one of the dogs, resulting in all of the dogs returning to the residence.

18-year-old Claims Self-Defense in Minneapolis Fatal Shooting

An 18-year-old faces a murder charge after allegedly shooting a man in the chest during an argument at a residence in Minneapolis earlier this month. Jackson Gregory Robertson, 18, faces one charge of 2nd-degree murder and one charge of carrying a pistol without a permit. Court documents do not list an address for Robertson. According to those documents, Robertson says the shooting was in self-defense.

CHARGES: Dog thrown from vehicle, victims carjacked during crime spree

Prosecutors have charged two people in connection with a crime spree that included a dog thrown from a vehicle during a pursuit and multiple victims violently carjacked. The dog, Taho, was thrown from the rear passenger door and rolled multiple times on the pavement due to the truck’s speed. He is now being cared for by a dog rescue and rehab organization.

Granite Falls Police Officer Shot While Serving Warrant

Granite Falls police confirm officers on a multi-agency task force were serving a warrant at a residence around 4 p.m. Monday and when officers entered the residence, the suspect reportedly fired shots, striking an officer. Officers were part of the Cooperative Enforcement Effort VI Drug and Gang Task Force and were serving a “knock and announce” search warrant at a residence on Bergeson Drive in Granite Falls. The resident was wanted for multiple felony weapon and drug charges.

Homeowner Pulled from Mounds View Fire, Hospitalized

The Spring Lake Park – Blaine – Mounds View Fire Department responded to a structure fire Sunday just before 11 a.m. on a report of smoke showing from a residence on the 7000 block of Groveland Road. In a media release, SBM Chief Dan Retka says crews arrived and found fire on the main level of the home.  A neighbor reported to firefighters that the homeowner may still have been inside the home.

Charges Filed After Woman Fatally Stabbed in Waite Park

A man has been charged with murder after a woman was found fatally stabbed inside a Waite Park apartment in February. Police were called Feb. 6 to an apartment building on the 300 block of Park Meadows Dr. in Waite Park to conduct a welfare check. Officers entered the apartment and discovered the victim deceased in the living room with lacerations to her neck.
