Prosecutors have charged a 24-year-old suspect with two counts of felony second-degree assault after he allegedly stabbed a 67-year-old man in the neck Oct. 1 in Wright County.

Robert Castillo, 41, was sentenced to more than 33 years in prison for stabbing his wife 20 times during a Bible study session in March 2023.

Montevideo police are investigating after a man was found dead with a stab wound in the parking lot of the post office in the 300 block of 1st Street early Monday morning. The man was found by a postal worker around 6:30 a.m. and his name has not yet been released as of Tuesday.
