A suspect is in custody after a series of violent incidents that started in south Minneapolis and ended with two shootings and a carjacking in Kandiyohi County.

Around 4:39 p.m., demonstrators reportedly entered the administrative building on the East Bank, damaged property and stopped people from entering or exiting. Authorities asked those inside to leave the building and urged others to stay away.

Around 11:50 a.m. on Oct. 21, officers responded to reports of a shooting at the location. Police found a victim who was then transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

When officers arrived, they found the child inside the apartment and began providing emergency medical aid. The boy was rushed to Hennepin Healthcare, but despite lifesaving efforts, he did not survive.

Witnesses reported the victim was sitting at a card table, freestyle rapping, when Daniel Walker unexpectedly pulled out a black-and-purple handgun and shot him in the chest without provocation.

Despite the officer’s attempts at a traffic stop, Quintin Hudson accelerated, eventually reaching speeds between 70 and 90 mph through residential areas. He ran multiple stop signs, culminating in a high-speed collision with a minivan.

The incident occurred outside an apartment complex on Osborne Road NE in Fridley when the victim was engaged in a heated argument with the suspect’s sister near the building,

Dispatch received the first reports around 2:40 p.m. about the crash, south of the intersection of 433rd Avenue and 310th Street, about a mile west of Elrosa, Minn.

Police say around 3:52 a.m. near the 3200 block of Girard Avenue North, officers responding to the call found a white Ford Taurus overturned. A man, found lying near the vehicle, had life-threatening injuries.

In addition to the prison sentence, Mohamed Jama Ismail, 51, will serve three years of supervised release and was ordered to pay $47,920,514 in restitution, along with his co-defendants.

Just before 6 a.m. on Oct. 19, Fourth Precinct officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation on the 1700 block of 26th Avenue North. While en route, the call was updated to a shooting.

Around 9 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of Sycamore Street East following reports of multiple gunshots and a male fleeing an apartment building. When they entered the apartment, officers found a woman with gunshot wounds.
