Stillwater Inmates Charged After Escape from Custody

Criminal complaints filed on Friday allege that inmates Timothy Curtis St. Clair Jr., 36, and Kristopher Lee Roybal, 40, walked away from the minimum-security housing area late Tuesday night. Both inmates were wearing GPS ankle monitors which showed them near a restaurant in Oak Park Heights and they were taken into custody nearby.

Man Fatally Struck by LRT After 'Altercation' in Downtown Minneapolis

Minneapolis police say a man was fatally struck by a Light Rail train at the Warehouse District station downtown around 1 a.m. Saturday after a "physical altercation" with another man on the platform. The victim reportedly fell onto the tracks after the altercation on the platform near at 5th St. & 1st Ave., was struck by an oncoming train and was later pronounced dead.

MSP Airport Police Arrest 2 with 50+ Pounds of Cocaine

Police say on May 16, Ladale Jajaun Solomon Jr., 29, had arrived on an inbound flight to the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on a flight from Los Angeles and was scheduled to make a connecting flight to Cleveland, Ohio. He had checked a 59 pound suitcase on the flight, which a certified drug detection dog provided a positive alert to the odor of controlled substances.

Man Convicted of Murder in Eagan Fatal Shooting

According to the criminal complaint, Eagan police officers were dispatched to the Marathon gas station at 1969 Silver Bell Rd. just before 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18 for reports of a man on the ground who was shot and possibly dead. At the same time, officers were notified of a crash about 100 yards from the gas station with someone running on foot from the area.

Man Charged After White Bear Lake Fire Injures 1

A man is charged with a felony after allegedly causing a fire at a White Bear Lake four-plex that critically injured a woman who was unable to escape the residence late Saturday night. 45-year-old Christian Thomas Dahm, of White Bear Lake, is charged with one felony count of negligent fires causing great bodily harm. The charge carries a possible sentence of up to five years in prison.

Minneapolis police say on March 17, officers responded to conduct a welfare check at a residence on the 3100 block of W. Lake St. for a woman who hadn’t been heard from or seen in several days. Officers made entry into the residence and found 60-year-old Stephanie Katherine DeRousse deceased.

Man Killed in Early Saturday Saint Paul Shooting

Saint Paul police have confirmed a shooting early Saturday morning on the 1000 block of Pacific St. in the city's Dayton's Bluff neighborhood was fatal and is being investigated as a homicide. According to initial dispatches, officers were sent shortly before 2:40 a.m. to the residence after multiple 911 callers reported gunshots were fired and that a male was shot.

Burnsville Felon Accused of Selling 3D-Printed Gun Switches

According to court documents, in March 2023, federal agents received information that Benjamin Jehle Zwack, 29, an employee at a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) business, was selling 3D-printed gun conversion devices, commonly known as “switches” or “auto sears.” These devices enable firearms to be fired as a fully automatic weapon by a single function of the trigger and qualify as “machineguns” under federal law.
