Man Gets 36 Years in Prison for 2020 Eagan Homicide
A Saint Paul man found guilty by a jury of second-degree murder was sentenced to more than 36 years in prison on Friday. Robert Lee Baker, 30, was found guilty by a jury in April 2022.
Woman Who Struck Oak Park Heights Squad Appears in Court
A 26-year-old woman appeared in a Washington County court earlier this month to face two charges of criminal vehicular operation after she allegedly struck an Oak Park Heights police squad car on Highway 36 near Stillwater Blvd. last December.
Stillwater Prison CO and Inmate Charged in Meth Conspiracy
A Stillwater corrections officer and an inmate have been indicted for their alleged roles in a methamphetamine distribution organization within the Stillwater prison. Faith Rose Gratz, 24, a MCF-Stillwater corrections officer, and Axel Rene Kramer, 34, an inmate who is serving a 288-month sentence for 2nd-degree murder, conspired with each other to distribute meth within the prison.
Man Fatally Stabbed in Saint Paul's North End Neighborhood
Saint Paul police are investigating the city’s 20th homicide of the year after a man was found fatally stabbed in the North End neighborhood Monday. Officers were called to an apartment building on the 100 block of Winnipeg Ave. just after 5:30 p.m. for a reported assault.
3 Arrested After Brooklyn Park Carjacking, Pistol-Whipping
Police arrested three suspects and recovered four firearms outside the Brooklyn Center Sun Foods, 6350 Brooklyn Blvd., around 8 p.m. Friday after an armed carjacking and ensuing vehicle pursuit. Brooklyn Park police said the victim was pistol-whipped by one of the suspects during a carjacking on the 7600 block of Jolly Ln.
Man Fatally Shot Outside Plymouth Gas Station
Plymouth police are investigating after a 28-year-old man was found fatally shot in a vehicle outside a gas station Thursday night. Police were called to Sami’s Stop near Hwy. 169 & 36th Ave. N. around 8:20 p.m. after gunfire was reported in the area.
Man Arrested in St. Louis County After 28-year-old Woman's Overdose Death
Saint Louis County authorities have taken a man into custody on a 3rd-degree murder charge after a woman’s fatal overdose last year. Cordaro Demario Ware, 32, is being held at the St. Louis County Jail awaiting a court appearance.

Young Boy Found Dead in Trunk of Car After Traffic Stop in Mound
Authorities have confirmed the body of a young boy was found inside of a vehicle on Friday morning after a traffic stop near Shoreline Drive & Bartlett Avenue in Mound. Orono police, who patrol the city of Mound, said that around 7:10 a.m. Friday, they received a report of a suspicious vehicle. A 911 caller reported seeing a silver car, driving on a rim and with a back window smashed out.
Red Wing Woman Arrested for 2003 Death of Baby Found in Lake Pepin
The Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension have announced an arrest in the 2003 death of a newborn baby boy who was found in Lake Pepin in 2003. The woman—Jennifer Lynn Matter, 50, of Belvidere Township—was recently identified through DNA as the child’s mother.

Multiple 911 callers reported hearing gunfire.
